Mark Sherling is a licensed professional counselor (LPC).  He received a BS in Psychology from Valdosta State University in 2002 and also obtained his Masters degree from VSU in Clinical Counseling in 2006.  Mark has a vast history of working closely with children, adolescents and adults using clinically tested and evidence-based interventions. Recently, Mark has specialized in trauma assessment/counseling, crisis intervention, and substance abuse related issues.  He served as lead clinician on the Mobile Crisis Team for Benchmark Human Services in Region 4 of Georgia, dealing with acute crisis situations with individuals ages 5 and up.  This unique experience has allowed Mark to better understand and identify potential risk factors that contribute to long term mental health concerns.  Mark enjoys empowering individuals to face daily stressors before they become too overwhelming, whether it is through one on one counseling or in a group setting.  Mark recently moved to Roswell, GA with his beautiful wife and three young active children.
